Our Store Policy

Here at Back In Balance Massage & Bodyworks, we're committed to providing our clients with a fantastic experience every time they come in for a treatment. We also want each and every one of our clients informed about our policies involving our massage products and performance of the services we provide.
Here you'll be able to find out everything you need to know about our products, return polices, and proper massage etiquette. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our Store Policies so you are fully aware of what to expect from a Back In Balance Massage & Bodyworks treatment or service. This way, you'll be able to get the absolute most out of your time spent in our care.
We understand that unanticipated events occur. Car problems, traffic considerations, business meetings, and project deadlines affect our daily lives and can interfere with a massage appointment.
In our commitment to provide an outstanding massage experience to all of our clients and out of consideration for our own time, we have adopted the following policies:

Arrival For Your Appointment

Please be available for your appointment at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Your massage therapist will be available 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment start time in order to set up your massage space and allow time for a private consultation.
If late arrival is inevitable, your service may be shortened in order to keep on schedule. You will be billed for the originally scheduled treatment so please give yourself a window of time to get settled and have your consultation. This is an important part of the session and you will lose out on this added value if you fail to arrive on time.


Scheduling Policy

All appointments must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. All standard services are booked online through our website in conjunction with FullSlate scheduling software.
Online payment processing is completed using either PayPal or Stripe. A 25% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking to hold you spot. This payment will be applied to your final purchase price at the time your services have concluded.


Cancellation Policy

If you must, please provide at least 24 hours notice should you need to reschedule or cancel a treatment session with us. This gives our staff and therapists enough time to fill the appointment. If a client fails to cancel their appointment with less than 24 hours notice, the full service fee will be charged.

Rescheduling Policy

If you need to reschedule your appointment, it needs to be done within 24 hours prior to your appointment. Some exceptions apply such as a death in your immediate family, or a contagious illness that was not present the day before, however situations of this nature will need to be discussed with management at a later date and may require documentation to avoid standard charges.

Late Arrival Policy

Unfortunately we cannot always provide late arrivals with an extension of scheduled appointments. In special cases we may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at our discretion and only with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival. Either way, the full service fee will be billed as normal.
Late arrivals that get to their appointment after the scheduled time will have that time deducted from the time they were scheduled for. This applies to anyone arriving between 1-15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time. If you arrive more than 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time without prior contact, you will be considered a no-show and funds for services missed will not be returned.


No-Show Policy

Upon finding that a client is absent from his or her appointment location, the therapist will attempt to contact the client, and will remain at the appointment location for 15 minutes. After this time, the appointment will be considered a "no show" and the client will be charged the full fee for the service scheduled and will be asked to pre-pay for future services.
If you fail to show up for your scheduled appointment, you will still be billed as if services had been rendered as normal. If you fail to show up for a scheduled appointment more than once, Back In Balance Massage & Bodyworks reserves the right to terminate our relationship.


Massage Etiquette Policy

If at any time you become uncomfortable with your session and you believe your comfort boundary has been crossed, you may pause or end the session. The session will end immediately as well if the therapist is made to feel uncomfortable. He or she may pause to reiterate intent, or just choose to end the session immediately; especially if any inappropriate sexual remarks or touching occurs.

Intoxication Policy

If you come into your appointment intoxicated, your appointment will be forfeit, as will your payment for the service. Please do not come in to your appointment intoxicated, as it places our licenses, our business and your life in danger!

Minors Policy

Minor children and teens often hurt themselves and they may require body work just as adults do. Back In Balance Massage & Bodyworks will happily perform massage therapy services on minors under the age of 18, but only with written parental consent. Paperwork must be signed by the parent or guardian in person.

Property Policy

We are not responsible for lost or stolen items that belong to you. Please make sure that you know where your property is at all times, keep valuables out of site, and keep your car locked during your massage therapy or detoxification session.
Back In Balance Massage & Bodyworks will provide a small basket or container to store items in, however this should be considered a courtesy and not a protective solution.


Payment Policy

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover only with an identification check. We also accept cash and check.
Returned Checks:
A $25.00 charge will apply for any returned checks.


Package Policy

1) Massage packages are good towards either Swedish, Therapeutic, or Geriatric massage services.
2) Massage therapy packages expire 2 years from the date of purchase.
3) Massage therapy packages are transferable but are non-refundable.
4) Massages purchased in a package may not be divided into multiple treatments (ex: a one hour massage split into two 30 minute massages).
5) In the event of unforeseen circumstances (sudden move or illness) which prohibits the use of part or all of your package, give us a call at 775-354-7626 to discuss your options.


Refund Policy

If you have purchased a massage therapy package and are unable to use all of the services purchased, you have the option to transfer your remaining massages to another individual, but there are no refunds. We make it easy by allowing the transference of the remaining balance to another individual with no additional costs to you. If you are unhappy with your service please speak to management about your experience and we will do what we can to rectify the situation, however there are no refunds for services rendered.

Changes To Our Policy

We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time. New versions of this policy with be noted with a corresponding effective date. We recommend that you visit the site regularly to review any changes to our practices and policies.
